How we rate the cards
Kredittkortninja compares five credit cards from TF Bank, Bank Norwegian, Morrow Bank, re:member and Instabank. We do not rank by commission: every card uses the same application flow via Axo Finans, so the assessments are driven by the terms alone. This is what we weigh:
- Effective interest rate. The total cost if you pay down over time. The lowest in our selection is Instabank at 21.66%, the highest is re:member at 29.89%.
- Fees and foreign transaction surcharge. Annual fee, withdrawal fees and surcharges abroad. TF Bank Mastercard and Bank Norwegian have a 0% foreign transaction fee.
- Interest-free period. How long you can defer payment without interest. The longest is Morrow Bank at 50 days, while Instabank has no interest-free period.
- Benefits you actually use. Cashback, rewards, discounts and insurance, valued by what they are worth in kroner for a typical Norwegian household.
The figures are checked against the issuers’ own price lists. Terms can change, so always check the current conditions with the issuer before applying.
